Planet Orchestra is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality music education and performance opportunities to youth in our community. Our mission is to foster musical growth, cultural awareness, and personal development through ensemble instruction, private lessons, and community performances.

Since our founding, Planet Orchestra has been committed to creating inclusive and accessible ensembles for students of all backgrounds and experience levels. Through partnerships with local schools, community centers, and cultural institutions, we aim to cultivate a lifelong love of music and inspire students to pursue excellence in the arts. Our ensembles are designed to develop technical skill, creativity, collaboration, and confidence, while also providing meaningful performance experiences both locally and regionally.

Through its youth ensemble, Mariachi Alma Juvenil, the organization fosters artistic growth, cultural pride, and meaningful community engagement for young musicians.

Mariachi Alma Juvenil is one of Planet Orchestra’s flagship ensembles, offering a comprehensive youth mariachi experience. Under the guidance of professional instructors, students receive rigorous musical training that includes vocal instruction, instrumental proficiency, ensemble performance, and cultural history.

MAJ is more than just a musical group—it is a community where young musicians learn the importance of discipline, teamwork, and cultural pride. Students have the opportunity to perform at local events, festivals, and community gatherings, providing public exposure and experience that builds confidence and leadership skills.

As an ensemble fully operated by Planet Orchestra, MAJ functions under our nonprofit governance and benefits from our established educational and administrative support. This ensures that every student has access to high-quality instruction and resources in a safe, structured, and professional environment.
